A few common questions
How does Reddit monitoring work?
You select the public Reddit communities you want to watch and describe the conversations you care about. Mention.bot checks new posts in those communities and shows you posts that match your alert.
Which Reddit communities can I monitor?
You choose the communities when you create an alert. Mention.bot monitors selected public communities—not all of Reddit. You decide which subreddits are relevant to your goal.
Do I need to connect my Reddit account?
No. You do not need to connect a Reddit account or share a Reddit password.
What happens when a post matches my alert?
You receive a notification with the matched post, an explanation of why it matched, and a link to the original Reddit discussion. You review the context and decide whether to respond.
Can I monitor private or restricted communities?
No. Mention.bot only monitors public Reddit communities that are accessible without authentication.
